Crawshay Room - Art featuring most notably, portraits of the Crawshay family (who owned the Cyfarthfa Ironworks), works' managers and the Cyfarthfa Ironworks. Permanent displays include a collection of early photographs by ironmaster Robert T.Crawshay, brass instruments of the Cyfarthfa band, examples of exhibition and decorative iron and steelwork featuring pieces from the famous 1911 Dowlais steel arch and a model of a steam-powered beam engine from Ynysfach Engine house. |
