Interior of Joseph Parry's cottage
Mid-19th century former ironworker's cottage. Ground floor accommodation is
furnished in period setting which includes living area and downstairs bedroom.
Upstairs rooms include displays on Joseph Parry's music and life.
- Hands-on talk and discussion focusing upon domestic routines
including washing, cooking, etc which can be tailored to particular
age/year group.
- A workpack suitable for Key Stage 1 and lower Key Stage 2 (prepared
in conjunction with Mid-Glamorgan Education Business Partnership) is
available on request.
- A visit to Joseph Parry's cottage may be combined with a visit to
Cyfarthfa Castle and the Cyfarthfa Ironworks at no extra charge. Owing
to space limitations no more than 30 students may admitted to the
cottage at any one time.
